CHAPTER (Local Organization Member) Constitution
CONSTITUTION
- The name of the Chapter is _______________________ Chapter, A.I.M. CAN.
- The purposes of the Chapter are:
- to provide moral and financial assistance to the victims of motorcycle accidents and their families;
- to assist motorcycle accident victims and their families in obtaining good legal representation, vocational, educational and other counseling and rehabilitation services;
- to provide an information service and inform motorcyclists of motorcycle-oriented events taking place in the community and surrounding area;
- to assist lawyers representing motorcycle accident victims in any way which might be reasonably requested by the lawyer;
- to organize or assist in organizing motorcycling events in the community or to help publicize events in other areas;
- to generally promote motorcycle safety, motorcycle awareness and the sport of motorcycling in the community;
- to work with other community services and service clubs to achieve goals of a common interest;
- to hold recreational events to raise monies to carry out the purposes of the chapter; and
- to further the interests of the motorcycling community generally.
- The Chapter shall be non-partisan, non-sectarian and non-profit. This provision shall be unalterable.
- Affiliation - this chapter shall be and hereby is affiliated with the Alliance for Injured Motorcyclists Canada (A.I.M. CAN) and is subject to the Constitution and Bylaws of A.I.M. CAN insofar as they affect and prescribe the functions of local chapter members and are not in conflict with this constitution or the bylaws of the chapter. This provision shall be unalterable.
- Upon the dissolution of this Chapter, all of the chapter's profits and assets after the payment of all debts, liabilities, etc., shall be turned over to A.I.M. CAN to be used to further the objectives outlined in this Constitution. This provision shall be unalterable.
