CONSTITUTION
Alliance for Injured Motorcyclists Canada
(A.I.M. CAN)
- Name
The name of the Corporation shall be the Alliance for Injured Motorcyclists Canada, abbreviated to A.I.M. CAN for the purposes of this Constitution, Bylaws and Official Logos or Trademarks.
- Purposes
The purposes of the Corporation shall be to oversee and assist LOM's to contribute to motorcycle accident victims, their families and the motorcycle community through development of leadership skills, social responsibility, and fellowship necessary to create positive change as set out in this Constitution.
- Objectives
The objectives of the Corporation shall be:
- To assist in the creation and conduct of local and regional organizations;
- To provide moral and financial assistance to the victims of motorcycle accidents and their families;
- To assist motorcycle accident victims and their families in obtaining legal representation, vocational, educational and other counseling and/or rehabilitation services;
- To generally promote motorcycle safety, motorcycle awareness and the sport of motorcycling in the community;
- To work with other community services and service clubs to achieve goals of a common interest;
- To hold recreational events to raise monies to carry out the purposes and objectives of the Corporation;
- To provide an information service regarding motorcycle-oriented events in the community and in other areas; and
- To further the interests of the motorcycling community generally.
- Politics
The Corporation shall be non-partisan, non-sectarian and non-profit. This provision shall be unalterable.
- Disbursement of Funds
The Corporation shall be carried on without purpose of gain for any of its members, and any profits or other accretions to the Corporation shall be used solely to promote its objectives.
- Dissolution
Upon the dissolution of this Corporation, all of the Corporation's profits and assets after the payment of all debts, liabilities, etc., shall be distributed among those registered charitable organizations in Canada whose objectives, in the opinion of the Corporation's Directors, most closely conform to the objectives of this Corporation. This provision shall be unalterable.
